Oh, so cousin Amy came?
She will soon.

What subtlety.😂🤣

Can we just take a minute to laud the cast in this movie? Way to bring back the sort of classic romantic movies that was pure chaotic fun and rooted in love and family.

Josh Duhamel, Tom, is a funny guy. If you've seen Bandit, you'll know he has a very funny side to him, but this was so hilarious I couldn't even see my favourite Captain from the Transformers franchise.

JLo is making a movie comeback. She's always been good at chaotic romantic movies, as we've seen in The Maid In Manhattan and Monster In Law. Last year, she blessed our screen with Marry Me where she paired up with Owen Wilson and Maluma with and it was good.

if you sit in the question long enough the answer will find you.

This year, we get Shotgun Wedding with Josh Duhamel.

Quick recap

Darcy and Tom are set to have their perfect destination wedding in the Philippines, but things go sideways when they're invaded by pirates who under the leadership of Darcy's Ex come for Robert, Darcy's father's money.

As you can imagine, everything went downhill when the pirates stormed the wedding. I was a bit surprised the ex was behind the ploy. He didn't look smart enough to plan such an elaborate scheme. But enter Henriette, Robert's Gemini yoga girlfriend, and it finally makes sense. She was the brain, and he was the access to the brawn, as he clearly wasn't it.

I hope he wasn’t a douchebag to Mamoa in real life.

I loved the music selection.
Quick one. If you've seen Once Upon A Cinderella Story, Hillary Duff and Jennifer Coolidge, Tom's mum, you'll realise that the song Tom's mum led when they pretended to want to wed in the pool was also used in Cinderella.

Maybe it was just a coincidence. Labyrinth's No Ordinary Love also fits the movie. I laughed during the beach scene run. Crazy.

I have a thing for movies of this genre, and I hope we get to see more of the A-list stars take themselves less seriously even while being serious.

The storyline isn't something you haven't seen before, so don't go watching it expecting some mind-melting plots. Be realistic. But, if you need something fun and exciting to watch, laugh and relax, then knock yourself out.

This isn’t some super intense what-will-happen-next kind of movie where the plot swallows you in until the end. It’s for laughs, so go and laugh.

You'll laugh and smile and forget you have issues.
