Just what I needed. A blend of Egyptian mythology in animation.

Quick recap

Mummies, Nefer and Thut, are bound to be married but when the royal engagement ring gets stolen by evil archeologist Carnaby Sylvester, the pair together with Thut’s younger brother Sehkem and his pet crocodile venture to London to find the ring and get it back in time before the 7 day deadline.

I loved this animation. Actually, I’ve been starved of some good animation and this satisfied my craving.

Did you see the selfie sketch? I wonder how that would work in the real world? Would everyone be an artist in order to get a picture? Will you check out that selfie? Why would a Mummy want to be in a real city? She does know she’s a Mummy, right?

2000s are the new 1000s.

They went to pick him up like he stole from the Pharaoh😂🤣🤣

I’m allergic to marriage. Diagnosed in fact.

Both eyes. Kind of brings new meaning to the expression love is blind.

Thut is a clown. His lines were all too funny.

So, before I rattle on and on, here’s what I got from the movie: your destiny is literally in your hands and all it takes to find it is a little boomerang. If Sehkem hadn’t accidentally knocked the Phoenix out of the sky, his brother would have never met the princess, fallen in love, or gotten over his fear of charioting.

I knew they would find a common ground. Come on already, they’re very cute mummies. Did you notice how every time they run into an object they do the mummy pose? Plus, I found it so nice that the princess snores like a dragon. I don’t know why but it made her relatable.

Sehkem is that younger sibling you want to throttle by the throat one minute and then hug like crazy the next. He’s a supportive person and the right dose of encouragement, positivity and trouble making Thut needed to get his life back on track. If you’re a younger sibling reading this, I think Sehkem is your Egyptian ancestor. Pay homage.😂😂😂😂😂

This is the second time I’m hearing the Walk Like An Egyptian song and I think I’m really digging it.

The part were Carnaby held them in the museum gave me Coco vibes with the whole deathly white and black look.

If you’re a over of fun animation, you’ll love this. It’s so worth the watch.
